Elements University to host YWCA event

Wenatchee, WA.- Elements University will host the annual “Girls Night Out” event on behalf of the YWCA.

The May 9 event will be held from 6:00-9:00pm at Elements University and will feature chair massages, hair consultations, paraffin hand dips, foot and hand treatments, make-up applications and time at the facial bar. Guests will also be able to take part in the event’s silent purse auction.

Tickets to the benefit are $60 and are available by contacting the YWCA at (509) 662-3531 or at Elements University, located at 34 North Wenatchee Avenue. Proceeds will benefit the Jill Wood-Spanjer scholarship program and other YWCA activities.

Elements University is pleased to welcome licensed estheticians, cosmetologists, nail technicians and massage therapists who wish to volunteer at the event.

“This is an excellent opportunity for the staff at Elements University, as well as other licensed technicians, to donate their time and talents to a very worthy cause. We are pleased that Elements University was given the opportunity to host this important event,” explained Elements University owner Valda Sarty.

Valda Sarty is the owner and founder of Sarty Mountain Inc., which encompasses a variety of salon and spa locations including Elements Salon and Wellness Spa, Refuel Spa and Elements University. Sarty also received the Entrepreneur of the Year award presented by the Greater Wenatchee Area Technology Alliance in April of 2007, the Benefactor of the Year award by the YWCA in December of 2007, and the Outstanding Business Achievement award by the Women’s Resource Center in December of 2006. Sarty is also a member of the Best Practices Club, an invitation-only networking community of industry innovators.
